A new ransomware has hit Windows and it’s called “The WannaCry Ransomware”. It’s based on an NSA exploit and has infected more than 230,000 computers worldwide. As any ransomware, WannaCry encrypts all of the users’ files and then demands a ransom payment which can only be paid by bitcoin for decryption. 99 countries have been hit with this ransomware including Russia, Germany, China, USA, and most of Europe. Government organizations and businesses such as hospitals, airports and universities have also been infected. Few businesses in Australia have been infected so far.

You can read more about ransomware and how you can protect yourself and your files from it.
